IS this coming from my Intake Temp Sensor?

Is this wiring harness coming from my intake air temp sensor? If it's not....does anyone know where the wires from the intake air temp sensor are? Thanks

TPI doesn't have a sensor in the air box. Yes, that looks like the IAT wire.

Been a year or two since I had my intake off, but IIRC, my MAT is located in my plenum, as far as I know, SD cars are the same way.

Only MAT/IAT I know in the inlet tube are the "relocated" variety.

I think only the V6's had the IAT located in the air inlet tube stock.

IAT and MAT are pretty much the same beast...Manifold Air Temp sensor, and Intake Air Temp sensor...but for "tTech-Speak", probably not.

yes, thats the pigtail connector that connects the iat sensor to the wire harness, i relocated mine to the airbox and had to plug the extension into that.

I thnk your "brown" wire is actually pink, time and heat changed its color. I know my wires for MAT are pink and black, and the pink should be hot.

Re: IS this coming from my Intake Temp Sensor?

I am having trouble getting spark on an 88 305 TPI TransAm. When I went to connect the Intake Air Temp sensor, the only thing I found that fit was on the coil. Now that doesn't sound right, I know but there is a two section connector and this pigtail from the IAT fit one half. I am speculating that is this picture shows the IAT connection I must have it wrong. Can you help?

Re: IS this coming from my Intake Temp Sensor?

The IAT is located under the TPI plenum about four inches from the back and wires to a conenctor in the harness adjacent to the the back of the plenum.
