Not sure about my car
I have an 88 Formula with the 305... thing is... I had it dynoed a few weeks ago... and it put down 162.8hp and 238 ft/lbs From people I have been talking to, those numbers seem to be low... I guess I just wanted your input... Also I was thinking about a rebuild with minor upgrades i.e. pistons/rods and minor head work... I dont want to go extreme and my budget wont allow me to do what I want... So any feeback would be great...
Thanks
Wendell
Thanks
Wendell
Nope, those numbers look about right for the 305. remember the factory used flywheel HP to rate the engines, the dyno used RWHP (rear wheel HP) And your 305 is probably getting a little tired and would probably benifit from a through tune up.

Thats just it, I just had the tune up right before I put it on the Dyno... well I changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, "ignition module" sorry not 100% sure exactly what thats called...
The car ran REALLY smooth for about a month... and I am still not sure on the factory ratings... I am getting 2 diff stories...
I Really would just like to know if its worth rebuilding??
