Need pic of area under tpi air filter holder (Camaros)
Does anyone have a photo of the area underneath the plastic piece that holds the air filters (on TPI Camaros)?
I searched, but was not able to come up with conclusive photos and was not sure of the car year.
If you can post a photo of yours, it would be most appreciated. If possible, please let me know what year car it is from.
I am trying to verify if the plastic radiator baffles on RS and TPI's are the same.
I have attached a photo of my car, showing the area I'm talking about. I have removed the radiator baffle and support braces.
Thanks for any help you can offer-

I don't have a pic for you but the baffles on my '88 Iroc and my '91 RS are exactly the same, only the grilles were different (stock).

This is off subject but I know u want the MSD module cool but is that really a good place for it? I think its a good idea but I dont think I would mount it there. Also I had those baffels on my 86 IROC but I took them off and threw em out. Seemed to cool better that way...

I agree with you about the MSD box where it is, i would not put it there do to the fact if might cause more harm then good, and i could possible help you out with the pic, i have an 87 IROC that i could take a pic of, but you will have to give me a couple of days, i have a digi but my cat got ahold of the wire to download the pics on the comp, let me see what i can do for you, there is just one thing, my airbox is pretty gutted though, don't know if that will make a difference for you at all, let me know.

Gracias Ed-
The reason I ask is that I made a pair of air ducts for the TPI Z-28 air intake/filter setup.
But, since I have a TBI car that was only modded to use the TPI intake/filter setup, I wasn't sure if they were the same "down there". Heh.

At any rate I am working with a plastics molder to see if they can help me make the ducts in a a plastic version. I believe them to be better than what is currently widely available- particularly in terms of fitment.
Anywho, thanks for taking the time--

Edit: the picture is great no too dark at all. I am thinking this is your IROC based on the wires headed down towards the fog lights?

Back on the topic, there are 2 pieces, maybe 3, to this setup: the one that will bolt/snap in place in front of the radiator, and the one (two) that go in where the fog lights are. You can see in the above pic where the front pieces slide into the rear piece. Again, both my cars ('88 and '91 years) are the same.

Nice job yourself. I checked out your TBI mods and that's some REAL nice work.
