The urge is too strong!!!!!!
When I got my '92 Formula about a month ago I figured I'd leave it about stock and make it a nice cruiser....but after my first time at the drags with it (and some very, very impressive kills on street and at the drags), the urge to make her fast has gotten too great.
I know, I know...typical n00b........shaddap
I've flamed a few n00bs in my time, too....
ANYWAY...It'll be my daily driver. I'm aiming for mid 12's in 3 or 4 months. Don't know the actual e.t. it runs now, but according to the speedo it runs a consistent 97mph in the quarter (take into account speedometer inaccuracy, it probably runs about 94 or 95 mph, which is low 14's). It has the L98 350, 3.23 posi gears, A4, and rebuilt engine/tranny.
Already have somewhat of an idea to start with, but I'm clueless when it comes to the major upgrades (heads, cams, etc.). Hopefully around Christams i'll have headers and full 3" dual exhaust with no cats, and a shift kit with B&M shifter. From there I don't know where to start. I know I'll needs heads and a cam. And TPI work....but I don't know who's who's in those departments.
Again, it's my daily driver, so keep that in mind.
Any help is much appreciated!

I'd think that dual 3" exhaust would kill exhaust velocity. Start with the intake and exhaust. A TQ converter would also help you out.
a 94mph trap speed doesn't always mean a low 14 ET specially if your 60' sucks.

Biggest bang for the buck is going to be upgraded gears and torque converter.
Lets assume you are running 14.3@94mph just to give you an idea. A 2600rpm stall torque converter (daily driver - must have lockup) will run you about 500-800 dollars and pick up about .3-.5 tenths in the quarter. A shorter gear like 3.73 from your 3.23 will pick up another .2-.3 tenths. Pair them together and you just shaved at least half of a second!

I would have to say...subframe connectors first! Brace it before you race it
Actually its the ONLY mod on my car and it ran 14.25@95 with 135,000 miles on everything, and 100% stock.
Ive been told its because of my sfc's that I got a 60' of 2.0

I have done lots of bolt-ons to my engine and not been impressed with the gains.
if i had it to do all over i would have done heads and cam in the beginning. i would have spent the same amount of money and gained double the performance. now since my car is a daily driver like yours by the time i decided this i have put too many miles on the engine to do the cam and heads without rebuilding it.
i cant comment on gears or tq convertor because i havent done either, but 52mm TB, ported plenum, AS&M runners, cold air intake, headers, cat, cat back, injectors, pulleys, chip, AFPR, and other small stuff, didnt gain me very much. heads and cam would have been much better money spent.
