Engine swap and tpi

Alright, heres the deal.
Right now ive got the LO3. So im upgrading the chassis and suspension. In the not to distance future, i want to install the Scoggin-Dickey tpi crate engine, which comes wit a base.
My question, wheres a good place to get a complete TPI setup (minus the base)? I need everything(minus the base).

Thanks,
Ken

You are going to end up buying a complete setup, and then simply sell the base. Your only other option is to buy everything seperately. Nobody is going to sell everything together except the intake base. If you decide to purchase items individually I have an extra set of runners I'd part with. They aren't perfect, so I'd sell them cheap.

Is the tpis setup a good piece?
It seems kinda pricey.

you will only gain about 20 HP from a full TPI swap on that L03, if that. IMO, get yourself a dual plane intake manifold and a 500 cfm carb, and pull a vaccuum advance distributor from a junkyard. you'd pick up 20 HP and some low end for a lot cheaper and easier than a TPI swap and need for computer tuning and a new fuel pump.

do carb on a crate motor as well. unless you are planning on running "TPI" as in HSR, Miniram or LTRs, a TPI manifold will restrict you to power under 5700 rpm on a 350, under 5000 on a 383 and under 4500 on a 406.

So will the TPI (visual inspection). Your car came with a TBI.

Plus, I dont think the vortec base has a C.A.R.B. sticker for California.
