Help Me Identify Injectors.

Well my buddy just picked up a 91 305 TPI car.

The car is running PIG rich all across the board in all driving conditions. 108-112 BLM

Before I rip down the rail, can the 19lb 305 injectors be visually identified Vs. the 22lb 350 injectors?

I didnt get a pic, but they are the ones with a silver alluminum base and a greenish top half.

Thanks guys!

If the vehicle has had the injectors changed, there is no color code for injectors in general. I've seen Accell injectors with silver bottoms and green tops in 19#, 36#, and 42# flow rates. Part number is the only way to tell them apart.

Just FYI, the 19# injectors on my '86 were all black and I've seen all black 22# injectors too... I now have 19# FRPP Accell injectors in there with an orange top...

Can Injectors be machined to flow more? Just because the numbers on them identify them for a 305, could they have been made to flow for a 350?

If someone ever did that to a set of easily replaceable injectors, then they are really in the dark.

Yes, they *could* be modified to flow more, but something like this is usually reserved for an injector body type that has no higher flow replacements available. In our injector body type, I've seen 50+ pound per hour injectors!!!
