Fiberglass runners

I was thinking of cutting up and siamesing (fully) some stock TPI runners. You think fiberglass would stick to the alum well enough (rather than welding) to hold up. (this is a supercharged app too btw, 8-12psi)

hah. well the primary route is welding. Fiberglass was the alternative. Think it would blow off huh?

I dunno, that's wierd. I figured I'd be first to suggest JB Weld though...

Don't skimp... cut them and weld them, or just pick up some SLP's and port them out. Since it is forced induction, I would try it with stock runners first. You might be quite satisfied with the results!

I'm running fully siamesed and ported SLP's with a siamesed and ported plenum.

I want to try some stockers and see the difference. Maybe sell the SLP's.

so its a siamesed and ported plenum, and siamesed and ported runners? I guess ~$500 wouldn't be all that bad then. Not for my tastes since I really only need the runners, but a good price none the less

Nah, fiberglass. Welding should be fine if you dont burn through the paper thin runner material.

Looks like a homebuilt set of SLP runners. It'll be interesting to hear how they perform. They might be better than the SLPs, I've heard some complaints about the casting on the insides of them.
