sd vortec head kit

Hi,
Ive been looking at purchasing the scoggin dickey vortec head kit for tpi. The kit I want is the upgraded kit. In the description it says the y are machined to accept the z28 springs and lt4 retainers. I am guessing that this means they are already on there. Am I right? are these heads pre-assembled with valves and everything? Ive tried to email them before, but I havnt gotten a response back yet. I figured someone on here have bought them in the past and could shed some light on this.

I haven't bought them but have inquired as well.
Here's what I know:
The heads have .100" removed from the tops of the valve guides and have valve springs that are good to .550" lift.

They take an extremely LONG time to email you back. If you get something back within a month then ur lucky. But everything should be assembled on the heads. Your better off just calling them and asking them you will get a much faster response then the email.

I was looking at that kit as well. I was going to email them to ask a few questions...but if it's going to take a month to get a response, then forget it.

I hope they ship those things faster than they respond to emails.....if not, I be waiting till July to finish my upgrades.

Do they have any flow numbers for SDPCs vortec heads vs stock vortecs? Or are they basically the same as far actual CFM goes?

Basically the same flow ratings. The only concern I had about the SDPC vortec heads were when I called them to ask them what castings they used they told me the 906 heads and I have read some article's on how they don't flow as good as the 062's. I wanted the screw in studs so I just went to paceparts and got mine and those are the 062's. You can also get them at summit as well
