Question regarding rods

Can someone explain the benefits if any of upgrading to a 6" rod. I know the difference between H-beams/I-beams but cant find any search results that clarify the benefit/difference between the 5.7" and 6.0" rod. I'm going to be pushing 15 lbs of boost through a forged bottom end but don't know what size rod to invest in...

Help?

Longer rods are better for a number of reasons. The longer rod increases the dwell time that the piston is at the top of the power stroke. This keeps the combustion chamber smaller longer and exerts more force to the top of the piston. More energy is transferred to the piston before it starts moving down as the crank swings around, increased leverage. So you get more power transferred to the crankshaft with the same engine with longer rods. Long rods will also make the engine less prone to detonation. So you can run higher compression with the same gas.

That is one reason I can run such high compression, 6 inch rods.
