Engine rebuild
My 91 z is probably going to be pulled out due to bad piston rings in the 350 TPI. When i get it out i want to rebuild it by putting some vortec heads, a good cam, and intake. Are there any suggestions as to what cam and intake to use. I am looking to make at least 350 horse and 400 or so torque. I need to do this with probable around $1500 dollars.

I don't know if you can get it rebuilt with new pistons and all, get a cam, and a new set of heads for $1500. I guess that depends on how much the heads are though.
Anyways, I would say to stay with the TPI intake, but (if you haven't already done so) get a nice set of runners and port them well, then port the plenum, and definetly port the intake manifold, but buy a new aftermarket and better piece if you can, and port that anyways. Then you will have to mess with the PROM chip, so you are gonna have to choose if you want to do your own (cheapest way for that is ~$350) or get one made ($200+). And you are gonna need new injectors (~$200). You are gonna also need a nice CAI and definetly a nice exhaust with headers and all, and that should free up some power.
