code 32, getting frustrated

well i had replaced the egr valve, i bought it used, could it be that the used one i bought is not working properly? , i replaced it and disconnected the battery to clear the code, now two days after i get it again, only happens sometimes in the highway, its starting to frustrate me, is my computer just freaking out? my car has no problems whatsoever, like my uncle saids(mechanic) if the car doesnt give you ****, dont worry about it

Did you check the EGR solenoid and the vacuum lines? I know this chart is for a 2.8L, but a lot of the basics are the same.

If you did a search on code 32, you'll find it's probably the most commonly occuring problem on these cars. In other words, it's a damn PITA. I know I'll be accused of heresy for this, but I fixed mine the "old school" way and just plucked the service engine bulb out. My cars runs perfectly fine even though it throws the egr code once in a while, so I figured what's the difference? BTW, I did this as a last resort after replacing the egr valve, checking the solenoid, vacuum lines, etc. Probably the only other way to fix it on my car would be to remove the intake manifold and clean out all the egr passages. I decided plucking the bulb was way easier than removing the intake manifold!

I recently replaced my EGR solenoid, valve, and harness.
I still get a code 32 when the engine starts (cold).
But, if I shut it off (once its warmed up) and then turn it back on, the check engine light stays off.

I'm running out of EGR things to replace
