Big Idle Problem...IAC???
I have a problem with my idle, i am thinking that it is the IAC. i'm sure you guys have heard this problem a million times before but i couldn't find a post with this problem. When i start it is really idles rough, like the whole car shakes a little. even when i rev the engine it will shake and sputter. then when i put it in drive and hit the gas it sputters and shakes a lot for a little bit and then it is fine. but i never stalls. then when i am accelerateing it will shake and kinda lurch. but like i said it is fine again after 5 min or so. and it usually happens when it is cold. its really annoying, and i am worried because its a pretty good shake. i ruled out the TPS because of the fact that is still does it when i am on the throttle. correct me if i'm wrong. hope someone can help, thanks!

If it is only happening when the engine is cold then I would suspect the coolent temperature sensor. It's real easy to check with a multimeter. Do a search: "resistance cts"

search 'rough idle' 'cold start' stuff like that.
You will get alot of stories about other peoples symptoms, if they are close, read the rest of the thread, if not keep moving. The info is here. Also, I might be WAY off, but hows your fuel pressure, vacuum at idle, and spark plugs?
*shrug*
Just throwing some ideas out there.

Check your sparkplug wires. I had a problem somewhat simular, but it was actually a miss, it was really bad at idle when cold, then as it warmed up, it would feel as if it went away, but it still happened here and there, like you described. I looked over my plug wires (which were AutoLite Replacement wires) and found one that was laying on the exhaust manifold. I felt it where it was laying on there, and it didn't seem burnt, so I moved it... problem went away. About a week later I put on new plug wires, and when I took the old ones off, the one that had been laying on the exhaust manifold was all cracked through to the fiber glass/kevlar inside.
It was arching out, but mostly when cold... why or how, I don't know.
Just a thought.
Check to see if you have any wires crossed, if you already haven't.

i'll check the plug wires first, thanks. but the thing is it doesn't do it everytime i start the car, this morning i started it and it ran fine the whole morning. so will check those plugs and hopefully that is it because it isn't too bad to change and i am looking at getting some taylor wires anyways. thanks!
