Add a set of headers to the list.

What are you wanting from the car? My mind reading abilities don't work after 9pm

Don't waste your money with larger runners or base. The stock TPI will supply enough air a 305 will ever need. I do recommend porting the stock base and plenum and gasket matching everything.

That's what I was curious about....Do you think the stock ported base and plenum would support a set of S/R Torquer heads and a decent cam ? Already done the bolt on thing with pulleys, hotter coil and wires, cold air intake, AFPR, 1 & 5/8 HEADERS INTO GUTTED CAT WITH 3 INCH CATBACK w/ flowmaster muffler.

Tranny has a shift kit, raised line pressure, corvette servo with TCI stall.....rearend has 3.73 gears with TA Performance rearend girdle and rear disk conversion. Some minor suspension improvements like lower control arms and poly tranny mount and air bags in coil springs.

Engine has 38k on the clock and wish to optimize the 305 with a cam , heads was curious about the intake side (intake, plenum, runners, throttle body ) and whether they would flow enough with the other improvements ??????

I ran the stock intake matched and ported with a set of stock AL vette heads, a 210/220 .480"/.480" Comp camshaft, Tri-y headers, exhaust, etc 5speed and I got a best of 13.6 at 101mph. Also, stock eliminator cars run a stock TPI with their 305's and they run high 11's.

David,

What gears were you running with that 305?

If you port out the stock base, the runners will be the restriction. I swapped my runners out and got a good gain from doing so.

Hey off what vette did you get those heads? Where they off of a l98 vette. They worked fine? No compression problems? They will bolt on fine? 350 heads fit on a 305 motor? I went to your website but I couldn't find anything about your switch to the other heads and cam?

You want the 113 casting L98 heads. They have 58cc chambers. They will keep a good compression and work fine with a 305.

How much did those cost you? And where would you get a set of those heads? Off ebay or something?
