will an APEXi S-AFC work on a 3 gen?
hey i was wondering if anyone knows if i could use a S-AFC from APEX integration on my car. if in the process of getting a 60-1 for my car and i can get a S-AFC for a really cheap price.. does anyone know if this will do anything for my car, all it does it change the air flow signal to richen (or lean) the fuel mixture. also if the AFC does work how would it work once my factory MAF is maxed at 255g? thanks

Might want this moved to the Power Adder forums. Yeah it would work with your car. The S-AFC would give you the same functionality of a FMU, except its electronic and works off the stock fuel system, (my FMU has a secondary pump, not sure about others). But watch out because the S-AFC does not integrate with your timing. You might want to use one of those MSD boxes with boost/timing retard in conjunction with the S-AFC if you start to experience knocking. You'll probably need bigger injectors (LB9's came with 19# injectors, and L98 with 22#ers), and maybe a more powerfull fuel pump. All depends on how much boost you plan to run. Just remember that the S-AFC is a piggy back unit, so dont expect the tuning capabilities of a standalone or something like the 749 ECM with a custom chip.

yeah i knewi put it in the wrong area, sorry about that i beleive i edited the original post right after i did it and explained that... sorry guys...
yeah i planned on using a MSD 6btm for my timing control, and upgrading to a 255lph fuel pump too.. i was kinda trying to avoid bigger injectors and only planning on running like 5-6 lbs boost.. sorry about posting in the wrong place and thanks for the help...

Nah no worries. Its not a big deal. About the injectors though, you will probably need to upgrade them if you are running forced induction. You'll need more fuel to even out your Air/Fuel ratio or else you will run lean and possibly damage the motor. Do a search and try to find out as much as you can about your current injectors. They will only be able to support so much horsepower before they max out.

im pretty sure they are just stock 22lb hr injectors... im not planning on running a huge turbo with alot of boost, just like a 60-1 with about 6 lbs... i was wondering if the stock LT1 24lb hrs will work? a friend of mine has a set i could get for next to nothing... how would those work?

I dunno man. You gotta research this stuff. Use the search button or call up the manufacturers of the injectors you are using or want to use and ask them what they recommend for your application.
