alternator
Hi, I have a 89 Iroc-z 5.0 TPI and just wondering if the stock alternator is 80 or 100 amps. The labels is off so I cannot tell. thanks!

ok, thanks can I just get a 100 amp one and it will fit perfect. The guy at the autoshop said it might have something to do with the computer so he said to make sure i get the same one.

I'd be surprised if amps decreased over the years. My '87 has a 105 amp alt, and I'd think your '89 does too. But you never know about GM, lol.

I just checked the Delco website, and you should have a 105 also. The 85 and 100 amps were on the LO3. The Delco part number is 321-383.
