eliminate 9th injector

eliminate 9th injector
i wanted to know id there is a way to eliminate the 9th injector without going thru vortec, i am running a LB9 and am lookin to make it perform a bit but the 1st thing is to eliminate this 9th injector.

im planning on running a comp cams 218-224* 500-510 " lift cam, k&ns air foil and im gonna look into a 22-2400 stall convertor. the car is stock with the 3.42 posi rear and about 110k miles on it, nothin too major just enuff to mess with the 5.0 guys and destroy some ricers

Kinda what I was getting at.
Those look like some mighty nice mods you are planning. The cam seems a bit to high though.

well, im lookin to open up the 305 a bit, and i figured that if im gonna have the motor apart for a bit ill remove the extra injector, i wasonly lookin at it because if the 89-92s didnt have it there might be a restriction with it but im only tryin this instead of switchin over to the 89-92 set up

The 9th injector is only there to squirt a little extra fuel in during cold starts. In 89 it was eliminated & the ECM was reprogrammed to provide the extra fuel via the standard 8 injectors. There is no performance advantage in removing it since it is not a restriction, it was only done to simplfy things since they often went bad.

Street and Performance makes two pieces to block it off. One plug for the rails ($15) and one plug for the injector ($5).

thanks s10 a friend of mine was tellin me about that but he couldnt think of the name of the place who had it. :rockon:
