Thinking of changing cams, any suggestions?
I'm pulling my engine because of some bad blow by and was thinking of swapping cams at the same time. Currrently I'm running the LPE 211 cam, trickflows, and a 3200 stall vigilante . I went 12.9@104 with the combo. I just recently did a full port and extended the siamese in my Slp runners along with some 3.42 gears. Does anyone have any reccomendations on a bigger cam or better cam? I was thinking of giving the CC XR276HR cam a try or even the LPE219 cam.

How many cubes you pushing? I got the 269 and probably should have gone with the 276. With a 350 I think the 269 would probably be perfect but pushing another 39 cubes I could have used a little more cam. I think the larger cam would work well with your 3200 Vigilante.

You may also want to consider the xe270hr10... its just the 269 on 110LSA rather than 112. I wouldn't go with the 276 with a LTR setup. You may not be able to rev high enough to take advantage of the improved top end. I just replaced my xe270
with a xe276, and some pro lightning 180's. Its too early for my feedback, as my knock sensor is going berserk, and i've got a lot of tuning issues to work through.

I 'm only pushing 350 cubes. When I went the 12.9 it was with unported SLPs and accel base with a stock throttle bottle. Also with the stock 3.23s. I was thinking with a full port and the 3.42s and maybe a bigger throttle body I could get away with a bigger cam with the TPI. I might even step up to a stealthram later.

I would not go that big with the TPI - usually, I would say take a step back because most people get a little enthusiastic when buying a new camshaft. The TPI will still be hitting a 5500 RPM limit, even with ported aftermarket stuff... it just is not a high end intake and I think you would be slighlty mismatching with the bigger cam.

Any opinions on the 219 cam. I know that the TPI has a limit but I want to see if it can do well with a bigger cam pushing the limit(though not too big). Anyone else have experience or even opinions on some other cams.
I know buckeyeroc has that cam, yet he has the superram intake. I would fair on the lesser side. I have the lpe 213 cam and it's pretty nice. Hard to compare and the little difference between teh 211 and the 213 are so little, it's not worth the change.....

If I were to stick with the 211 cam do you think that I would see a gain with 1.6 rockers? the lift now is 503/525 with 1.5 rockers. With 1.6 it is 530/560. I would also have to change my valve springs. They are the ones that came with my head and are supposed to be good for only 540 lift.

You should decide if you are going to upgrade to a Stealthram before you pick your cam. If possible do both at the same time.

I think I'm gonna stay with the TPI setup for now. In the future I do plan on going with the stealthram but much later. I want to max out the TPI sytem first and see what I can get out of it.
