we got another 305 almost in the 13s

just thought you guys would like to know that with the stock chip, spare tire and jack, 2 10" subs and box, and a single 2.5" flowmaster muffler my 305 shuffled to a 14.06 @ 96mph with a 1.93 60'. i imagine it will be solidly in the 13s after i get a chip burnt and a decent exhaust on it. for other mods see my sig.

Nice job man. How much do those converters cost? I'm going to be looking into one maybe after I get my LT1 intake swapped in and my 3" cat-back installed. I'm not going to bother with headers or hi-flo cat until I swap the 350 in, so I'm not going to see any amazing numbers with my 305

By the end of this season, I'm hoping to be mid to high 14's with the LT1 intake, 3" catback, CAI/ram air w/ K&N, shift kit, LCAs, port matched intake and maybe PNP the heads (not positive if I'll bother yet), and maybe a new torque converter. Possibly an AFPR with the LT1 setup as well. I haven't gotten to the track for even a base run yet, so I don't know exactly where I am yet. Probably in the next two weeks I'll be able to get to the track.

nice dude. put that car on a diet and but mid 13's already:lala:

i'm going to run a 3000 stall when i get to do my tranny, lca's and 3.42's when i get that far as well.

Now I feel like I should have hand ported my 113's as well when i had them off...i also have a lt1 intake, so maybe that'll make up the difference and then some.
NE3G is talking about have a 305 shootout.

wow a 305 challenge huh? that sounds pretty awesome. i usually get pretty cocky with people around home here when they say they have a fast 305 because i have never seen another 305 even go in the 14s at the track. i know they can run but almost no one makes one quick, and it honestly isnt that hard or expensive. i would love to run some other 305 guys and see what they got. i know there are many NA 305s out there quicker than mine, let alone guys like Willie or Preston Smith that are runnin blowers and turbos. Hmmmm maybe it is time for some nitrous.........

i'm hoping for low 14's high 13's my 1st time out. i need to finish putting mine together, then start with the tuning 1st. not going to run it until then.
