Probably getting a 305 TPI 91 Z28

I'd like eventually, to pull the 305 in favor of a 400 block running ~11:1 compression, Vortec heads, scoggin-dicky lower Vortec intake, SLP runners, and BBK 58mm TB. As far as the cam goes, I don't even know where to start with that. I still am researching those. Exhaust would also be done, as well as a positive locker for the rear axle.

Having said all that, how would you guys expect this Z to handle itself with the above mods completed? What all am I forgetting? Would I be better to get a L98 or LT1 Z for other upgrades like brake systems, etc?

Any info you guys can provide is very helpful.

Welcome to thirdgen.org!

The LT1 is a 4th gen, not a 3rd gen...3rdgen has the L98.

I'd suggest Subframe connectors and a strut tower brace to add to your list.

Might want to head over to the suspension board and get the skinny based on what you want the car to do.

welcome aboard. Does that car have a automatic or a standard transmission? If it has an auto then the 305 in it is only rated at 205hp.
