adjustable fuel pressure regulator

The guy I purchased the car from says it has a TPIS adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I just need to know where its at...I think I found it. I'm pretty sure its right in front of the distributor,behind/under the intake? If it is, do I have to take the intake off to get at it? Thanks for the help, sorry if its in the wrong forum.

That is it. You shouldn't have to remove anything to be able to adjust it. It is a little difficult to get to but it can be done.

Thanks for the help, I didn't even wanna try to mess with it without being sure. Stock pressure is like 42psi, right? I'm sure since the guy bought it that its probably a little higher now. I should run less than 50 for daily use though, correct? I'll go check it out first thing in the morning...2 A.M. right now lol.

I suggest you get a fuel pressure gauge that mounts right to the fuel rail to see your pressure. 42-45psi is about stock. Keep it stock for daily driving, up it for track/performance.
You shouldnt have to remove the plenum. There should be a thin, black screw that comes out of the center.

you definately need the gauge that mounts to the fuel rail to be sure. I have the one offered by TPIS and only put it on to check the pressure when I'm tuning in preparation for a track day.

Thanks for the help guys. About how much will I have to spend on a fuel gauge? It will be a while before I get one anyways. Making $5.50/hour and still owe my dad $2500 for lending me the money to buy the car...the only money I keep from paychecks go toward gas.

You can get a gauge for under $20.
