You can get a refurbished Auto X-Ray from a place in Phoenix, Arizona for ~120$. Sorry, can't remember the name of the place. I bet Google knows.

Access to a laptop, spend $10 to make your own aldl cable or 25$ to buy one and use moates free software. works like a charm :-)

it's SO much cheaper to go the laptop route, I have a 75mhz butterfly laptop that ran moates software and I got that thing for 40 bucks, another 40 for the pre made aldl cable and with under 100 bucks I was able to read everything I wanted and was that much closer to burning my own proms.
I'm not trying to sound rude, but don't spend 150+ on an auto X-Ray, they're pointless when for less you can be scanning w/ a laptop. just look around and you'll find a deal.

Ok guys, did some research on the Auto X-ray diagnostic scanner. The only thing I cannot find about it, but does it record things? With my friends autotap for obd ii, he can hit record, go down the 1/4 track, hit stop, and look at all his sensors during the wot run. Is it possible to do that with the auto X-ray diagnostic scanner?

It records, VERY slowly and only for like, 10 seconds or so if I remember correctly. If you want to record data, go the laptop route.
