re re build 355 TPI

Well after burning oil 4,000 miles after the rebuild the machine shop agreed to replace the rings and necessary components when replacing rings. Maybe i can actually run some decents times now. I will post more pics when the re re install is completed.

Maybe try what I did.

I had mine glass beaded and then clear powder coated. Turned out great. I will try to post some pics when my rebuild is complete.

sounds interesting, i would like to see some pics. Seems like powdercoating runs about $50-70 for runners, how much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking. Its just money i'd rather not spend right now. I've dumped too much into the car recently.

i no how you feel, i recently installed a "rebuilt" 350 that i got from a co-worker and it burned oil, and blew a headgasket or two, so i picked up another 350 and im in the process of throwin her in .

I got a great cash money deal.

I first had the plenum intake and runners glass bead. ($50) Then I had the aluminum parts powdered with clear and I had the headers done in a high temp satin black and the oil pan done in gloss black. Get this, all for $300 cash. I thought it wasn't too bad and they did a good job. Be patient and I will post picks soon of the final product on the motor stand.
