Replacement gasket for HSR

I tried searching, couldn't find the number...

I just need a Fel-pro intake gasket PN. I have a leak at the rear of the intake and I plan to fix it ASAP and I can't find my paper work that came with the HSR. Trying to contact Holley directly is an exercise in futility, so hopefully one of you kept the paperwork with the correct gasket set.

Thanks

Cool, I went down to my local speed shop and picked up a set of the 1205s. They figured that was the set...

BTW, did you use the cork gaskets that fit along the back and front of the block, aka: the china wall. I don't think I used them this time and I have a small but annoying leak out of the back. I am just curious for when I change it out...

You really dont need them if you use enough sealant. Make a thick bead on both ends.

That's what I have done on most of my engine buildups in the past, but this time it leaks. I dunno, I'm just gonna try them and see if it holds...

a few people have had the rear intake china wall not match up just right with the HSR. here's a thread over at that nifty place called www.stealthram.com that addresses this very thing. http://www.stealthram.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39

what i did with mine was use felpro1205 and plenty of silicone. especially in the corners where the heads meet with the block.

mrr23,

I am so glad you posted that link. I just resealed my intake today and didn't finish completely, just torqued lower manifold and called it a day. I have been seriously doubting my abilities as a mechanic ever since I switched to the HSR and had this oil leak, knowing I am not alone is a comfort. However, tomorrow I will pull the lower intake and check for the RTV seal like one of the guys posted. If I have to I may weld a little aluminum edge to the intake and have my machine shop plane it flat. What do you think about that, overkill or not??

Thanks again...

not overkill if it works. before taking it off, try running your finger under the manifold at the back. if you can see it, then that's better. try to locate exactly where the leak is coming from. might be from a corner where everything meets (head, intake, block). make sure you sign up over at www.stealthram.com and submit your car pics and info to add to the HSR CARS section if you haven't already.
