Now I've gotta choose new Fuel Injectors for the 383
Help guys.....
I sent out what was "thought" to be Bosch 36lb/hr injectors to get cleaned and blueprinted....but the place just got back to me and said they are 24lb/hr ones.
So now I'm left choosing a new set. The engine was dynoed at the builder (carbed since she was out of the car) at 523hp....Now she sits with a Miniram ontop and a bunch of PROM tuning (and ALOT of learning to be done). I'm contemplating on the size o injector....should I go 36lb or leave some room for improvement and go up a size to 42lb?
Whatdaya guys think?? Any brand recommendations?
Thanks

yea, believe it or not I have had good luck with Ford Motorsport injectors, just swapped out a set of ACCELs for the FM ones.

Talked with Bosch and they told me to speak with TPIS. So I spoke with Eric at TPIS and he recommended 27lb Bosch ones. The only problem with that is they are about $64 each or about $550 for the set. I'm thinking about just going with some 30lb Bosch ones since I can get a set for $230!

DAMNNNN thats a lot of cash for injectors....wow. I guess you gotta pay the price if you want to run the numbers. Good luck your combo sounds excellent.

Ford injectors. way to go.
I'm running the red tops, 36# hr at 43.5psi.
500+ hp supercharged 355.
Look on ebay. Have 'em checked by cruzin performance. Don't listen to TPIS..

I'm running 50psi at idle, around 60 under boost. (raises about 1:1)
My DC are almost static. I'll be shopping for 42s this winter.
