I bought my '82 Trans Am from a professional racer, his family was also his pitcrew. She sat for two years being ignored. The up side is that a previous owner removed the 305 engine and replaced it with a 350 from a Corvette. My dad and I are restoring her after two years of being neglected. After the engine was replaced some of the emission controls don't match up. I've been told it's a LT1. I'm not sure what are asked by the laws of Illinois.
