My TB coolant bypass job
I wanted the smaller elbow fitting, but this is all I could create. Im not a licensed plumber, but oh well.
Big version (smaller quality picture attached in case I run out of bandwidth or server down).
Fits nice (but barely, its almost right up on the TPS). Only problem is that it started to leak where the fittings screw in in the elbow. Some thread sealant seemed to fix that. Hopefully this setup will survive 195+ degrees.

Why not use an 'L' connector on the manifold to avoid that bend? Or re-route the hose so that that bend is no longer needed as such.

Thats not bad. The guy at autozone let me go back and look through all the pre-bent hoses and even take them outside to my car till I found one that fit really well. But good job dude.

Pro, it has been like that for years, it is nowhere close to the altenator blades, it rests on the bracket. NBD..

Pro. Why don't you use an L shape hose? I bought a Goodyear hose. I just had to cut it a bit and it fits perfectly.
Why make the hose turn 180*?
I went the easy route, I pulled the nipple out of the intake and plugged the hole. Then I removed the plug from the top of the waterpump and installed the nipple. One hose runs from the water pump to the heater core just like GM would have run it had they not had the coolant in the throttle body to begin with.

transporter, I went to autozone and found some hoses shaped like a question mark. Might work, well see when I get home from work.

Well I found a hose at autozone. Attached is a pic of the hose installed (leak free) and the part number for it. Its off like a toyota or something, but fits perfect.

good find
sometimes it just takes a little looking and hunting to find the one that will work ....not necessarily the factory but it works nicely ......

Maybe this could be a sticky, or the bypass article could be updated? Would make it easier to just go and get the hose and be done with it for most people.
Wish I knew what hose this went on though (for those that dont have an autozone nearby).
