1987 TA GTA 350 Engine Re-build

Hi All, I have a TA GTA with a 350 TPI. I don't know if this car came with a Corvette reincarnate engine or this is just a basic Chevy HO. I believe it's rated at 225 HP. In any event I want to keep the car street legal so the smog hookups will have to stay on-board. I want to add Edelbroc Performer street legal aluminum heads and probably a hydraulic roller cam with a good idle. Or course the engine will be machined and balanced also. Has anyone done a similar performance upgrade and if so, what was done to the TPI system to advance the timing, increase fuel output and prevent early detonation. I'll probably change the pistons also keeping the compression at 10 to 1 or below.
Thanks,
Laser

All of those modifications can be accomplished through tuning (fuel, spark, etc).. Check our the DIY-PROM forum..
