Coolant diverter valve hose routing?

Anyone care to take some indepth pictures of how coolant is routed through the heater core and coolant diverter valve? When I bought my car the hoses were not there and coolant had been routed around that. I have 1 blocked off hose, but I'm not sure how its supposed to be routed.

Also, where does the vacume line for the heater valve come through the firewall?

No one has any pictures? Or is willing to take pictures?

My car NEVER came with a heater valve, and the heater core was just sitting there with nothing connected to it. I have no idea WHAT its supposed to look like. A little help here.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem, and went to a junkyard. For 1$, I looked at everything I wanted to. I did and AC delete and completely re-routed all my coolant lines, so mine no longer looks anything like factory.

None of the cars in the junkyards near me are untouched. Just about all of them have the motor ripped out of them.

No help there. Already looked.

Thank you. This has been driving me nuts for a while. But hasn't been a priority because I didn't have to drive the car in the winter or even the cooler months.

But thanks to circumstances Ihave to drive my baby all through this winter.

There goes my rust free california car. Gonna have to do some coating or something to protect the car.

I don't have a camera to show the pic but the valve has two hose fittings on one side (top and bottom) and then one sticking out the side. Look at the side that has two. The hose that goes to the top fitting goes to the firewall(heater core) and the bottom fitting hose curves downward to a fitting by the front fender well. The fitting on the side goes to your throttle body and then out to the intake manifold. You can do a TB bypass and hook the hose directly to the manifold to increase HP. I hope this helps.

There are really only two heater hose setups, the difference is with or without an oil cooler. From your heater core you've got two hoses. One goes to the engine, the other to the radiator. The line to the radiator may or may not have the oil cooler in line. If it doesn't have a oil cooler the line goes straight to the radiator, with the cooler it goes into one pipe going down, then comes out of another pipe coming up and then to the radiator.
The line to the engine comes forward to the valve, the other rear outlet from the valve goes down to the pipe from the heater core to the radiator. The third nipple on the valve goes to the throttle body, then comes out the front of the throttle body and goes into the intake manifold.

Here's a picture from the manual, it doesn't show the valve, but it shows everythign else a lot clearer than a picture could.
