GM 847 cam
What type of power numbers would this cam make with a some well ported Etec's and a HSR? LT1 guys are putting out 410+ RWHP on this cam with crappy tunes and little head work.
Stats on Cam:
The duration at .050" tappet lift (intake/exhaust) is 234/242; and maximum lift with 1.5:1 rocker ratio (intake/exhaust) is 539/558. Valve lash is zero/zero and lobe centerline is 112 degrees.

you'll probably make slightly more than 400 i'm guessing. it really depends on other factors tho... compression, displacement, exhaust system, valve train set-up, tuning etc. with that cam, it'd probably do good to have compression at 10-10.5 to 1 for 92/93 octane gas. Get the timing right n' i doubt you'll have detonation problems.
i just noticed that this cam is identical to the Crane 119841 cam. that makes it really easy if you need it ground on a custom small base circle or something, if you have a large stroke.

If a LT1 can do it or use it. I see no reason an L98 can't do the same. Really the Vortec based heads are the same thing as LT1 heads and the HSR should out flow the LT1 manifold. Aside from that everything should be apples to apples, oranges to oranges
