TPI Low End Power Issues....

Something strange I just noticed the other day going up my driveway (45 degree basically), my z28 cannot make it up without dying (flooring it too), but my old RS did it, piece of cake.

It seems that I'm clearly lacking a load of low end power.. but I dont really know whats up. Anyone got any ideas?

Check your timing and TPS setting.

Huh? Flooring it in low gear and it won't climb the hill? Something is seriously wrong. If I had my car in first gear and floored it the rear tires would be smoking, and I only have an LB9.

Just wondering but is the Transmission shifting correctly? TPI cars are torque monsters right off idle...any hill shouldnt be a problem if you have traction.

EDIT: doh just noticed you have a T-5....ok nm about the Tranny shift thing Course maybe excessive clutch slipage..but you would smell that.

Procedures for this are found in the Tech Articles section off the main page, or in a manual.

I hope that when you went up the hill you were at least in 1st gear. I just thought I'd add that in.
