ZZ4 tame enough to pass for stock?

I see the duration on the ZZ4 is just a little over stock.I am looking for a little edge over stock without anyone knowing.

I have the ZZ4 cam in my L98 and although I haven't had to pass emissions *cough*....I did quite a bit of research. "Most" people had no trouble passing. A lot depends on state requirements and tuning.

For the record, my motor is still running the stock chip and the car runs perfect.

...but I re-read your post and see that you mention nothing of emissions. LOL

.....as far as sound goes, there's no doubt it's not stock. If you know cars, you know it's camming a little.

I live in California and have been passing emissions for a number of years with a ZZ9 cam. It has more duration than the ZZ4. Hope this helps. Allen

I have the ZZ4 cam, it's a very mild cam in my opinion. There isn’t much of a difference in the lobe of the idle so it would be very hard to tell it from stock, sound wise.

Well, I have a ZZ4 cam too. I agree it's nothing extraordinary, but there's no doubt it's not stock.
