Dimensions of T-Ram?

Does anyone have the dimensions of the t-ram? I was thinking of custom building my own t-ram intake. It has been proven worthy on making power and mid-rpm power.

Do you have access to tooling to make a cast? It is a very complex intake you will not be able to make it out of sheet metal.

For your taste maybe. The only problem with this intake is that it leaked a lot, which is relatively easy to fix.

As for the power, better than intakes that are on the market. I'll take it.

Get a Superram if that is the RPM range you are looking at.

Look at the shootout thread, Super Rod, in this board.

It shows dyno charts of the Superram besting the T-Ram at every RPM level.

He might be able to make it but at what cost. Having experience in the casting industry it will not be anything close in price to what you'd pay for a Stealthram or Superam. Both have been proven to be just as good if not better then the T-Ram. For some reason this intake has some "magic" or so everybody thinks. Really not that much special about it. Save the money and get some of the alternatives and put the extra into the engine/car/exhaust/house and you'll be much happier.

In order to know the exact cost wouldn't be until I get the dimensions.

I agree that it would probably be cheaper if my shop was already setup to pump 100+ of these out, but a lot of people have done their own fabricating and come out a lot cheaper.

Why copy it? I think it was already mentioned that the T-ram aint all that. Take it, the miniram, Stealth Ram, Super Ram, and they are all pretty close with minor differences. How about looking forward and following designs on other applications? There is a whole mess of intakes available for the 5.0 Ford, and plenty of dyno information to boot. Use that information as a basis for design and forget about copying. You will never get a duplicate anyway, so if you dont understand how the design works you will not get good results anyway. You might even come up with a better idea, if you have ever seen a picture of the TB mount on a T-ram you can see the runners block airflow as soon as it gets into the intake. I'm sure the idea was inspired by the stock 5.0 Ford intake, with the TB moved to the GM front location from the side. Other than that... they are pretty much identical in theory. TB to side plenum through a narrow runner, then through a runner into the intake base and then head.

I personally would try to follow a more simple design, the stealth ram is like that. Just make a bigger plenum and be done with it.

Supposedly the toolling was destroyed in a fire. They could remake the toolling but there is not a large demand anymore, and way more competition.
