TBI or TPI on new 350 block

Hi!
Today i am swapping out my 305 for a 350,the 350 its a MAF from 89 and i cant decied if it worth the work of changing harness,i realice that i need to get the painless harness kit and a new ecm to convert over to a speed density computer system.
I have a lot more experience of tbi but nothing whith tpi,how much work is it to swap from tbi to tpi really?
I was told that a stock tpi whith full exhaust and a costum chip can give me my goal of 275-300hp.Today the 305 deliver about 240hp but almoust no low end power and thats sad.
The 305 newer run the way i wanted so i hope that this swap will fill my needs.
Thanks for any replays!!
I have a LT1 cam in the garage to will that be a better choice than the stock tpi cam?

Go with TPI. I am doing a TPI swap right now in my 92 RS. Repinning the TBI harness for TPI so I don't have to buy an aftermarket harness. Can save some money.

I am looking at making this engine a screamer down the road with eventually large cubes and a blower so Multiport was the only option for me. I needed the injectors to get fuel in which is TBI's only problem. If your not wanting much more then 300hp then you could probably stick with TBI and do some PROM tuning and get there. But if you have big plans for your engine down the road I wouldn't waste any money on the TBI at this point.

Go for it.

(One note, to repin a TBI harness easily it would be worthwhile changine to Speed Density and ditch the MAF)

Hi!
The new 350TPI are in and running nice.I hade no problems whith the swap but there is nothing to do over a wekend. The stock modifyed tbi harness work great.
There is still snow here so i have not driven it on the road yet but everything runs nice so far.

Where can I find out how to re-pin my TBI harness to be a TPI harness? I have gone through 3 different harness's and nothing is straight forward. Any help to put me in the right direction would be great!

Most ppl would ve told you to search for this, but here you go. Just follow the first couple posts in the above thread based on your application. I just did this last weekend and it was simple if you take your time. still should be done in less then 2 hours.
