LT4 hot cam clearance

Has anyone ever had clearance issues with 1.6 rr on a stock 350 tpi engine? Valve cover, piston..etc

Thanks.

You will be fine. The valve covers and springs are more of the problem area.

I think valvecovers are fine since hotcam was usually sold with 1.6 rr's as an upgrade to the LT4. You will need new springs tho. If you want to get LT4 hotcam, just get the kit, it has the cam 1.6 RR's, and springs. There are better cams out there for power, but hotcam will pass emissions and get decent mileage.

Question:

i have the LT4 HOT Cam.. and i see SLP now sells the LS6 Valve springs, and says they will work with out cars. i would expect these springs can handle the LT4 HOT Cam, correct?

anyone have the retainer part #'s

im going to be using 1.5 roller rockers.

r3pp3r, I live in Cali, do you know for sure that the hotcam will pass emissions? Will it pass as is or will it require some "de-tuning?"

thanks

My 1.6 crane rollers with this cam would not clear stock valve covers. I didn't try the real thick vc gaskets but that might have been an option...
