I installed a set of march underdrive pulleys. surprisingly it actually went a tenth and a half faster. these time were run on consecutive weekends in the same weather conditions. my e.t. then went from a 13.65 to a 13.50. your 87 has v belts on it though, but i imagine the results would be similar. jegs and summit both carry underdrive pullies.

By the time the power goes through your whole drivetrain...pulleys would not do much.....

My opinion is that you have to find horsepower where you can within money limits of course. I say if you can pick up 5HP then its a go. Allen

I got the March pulleys pretty cheap on ebay. I think it is worth the money.

I saw that March set on ebay. It looked like just a 2 piece set. I was thinking about getting it but how's that different from the 3 piece set from jegs? Will I be missing a piece?
I don't have a serpentine belt, just one belt for my alternator, and a seperate one for my power steering pump.

how do you figure? you just gotta loosen everything up with the belts still on! then take the belt off, replace pulleys, hand tight bolts, reinstall belt, retighten bolts, never easier. if you have an air compressor and an impact-gun, it's that much easier.
