SVO -vs- Chevy Fuel Injector O-Rings?

For those who are using Ford SVO Fuel Injectors:

Did you use the O-rings that came on the SVO injectors, or did you replace them with the larger diameter stock Chevy injector O-rings?

Do they leak with the SVO O-rings?

Where's a good place to buy the Chevy O-Rings?

I used Chevy O rings on my SVO injectors. IIRC the O Rings were included in the Fel Pro lower intake manifold kit.

I bought 24 #/hr FMS (AKA, SVO) for my '87 IROCZ. I used the injectors right out of the box, and never had a fuel leak. Grease the orings very well, and slowly squeeze them into the fuel rail first AND use the clip. The clip will position the top of the injectors into the fuel rail. Then just (and very carefully) get all 8 injectors to seat in the holes in the intake.

Done deal.

I used the ones that came on the injectors, the OD of the o-ring wasnt any different. Better to check that and make sure though, just to be safe. I heard that early versions (many years ago) had smaller o-rings that didnt work.

I bought a set of O-rings from my local Chevy dealer under GM part # 17113544. Should have 16 o-rings in it. I have yet to install my injectors, though.

I think they were about $15 + tax.

I used the chevy o-rings in mine. They were slightly larger you could feel it when you put the parts together. I had a set of them laying around so I pulled them out to compare.

That was 4-5 years ago when I put the Motor in.

Interesting. I know the older Ford rings were of a smaller cross section than GM. I wonder if Fjord finally "got on board." Oh, nevermind - They still make the tinkertoy, er, Romeo engine.
