That had to be custom fabricated. That's a showcar F-body with a LT5 engine, right?

Only dual-sided CAI I remember is that overpriced SLP one which is no longer being produced.

Shaking head...

Come on boys..that is the finest V-8 GM ever put into a vehicle. That is the dual cam ZR-1 engine made from 1990-1995 for th Vette....one fine piece of engineering!

True. But I think the best performance GM motor to date will be the roots blown northstar they are developing for the STS-V. I just hope they don't cover up that roots with a big piece of plastic! That LT5 air hose is nice, but you will have to move some stuff to get it to fit in a thirdgen.

From the picture below, it looks as if only the metal tube attached to the throttle body was re-used.

LT5 will go down as the greatest in my book :-)

If u even remotely understand what the guys used to have to go thru back then to get a car done and the fact that we had a ZR1 at all says alot.

The LS7 basically has corporate GM going make it whack a viper and make it 1/3 the cost of a real exotic. (no, believe me this is not bashing the LS1 series engines, which are just as great, just a different environment here 20yr later)

Besides, no one else jammed a motor with 400+ hp in a car that was designed from the ground up in the 80's and gave it a warranty :-)

They even worked out the neat details like the upcoming 475hp versions. Some saw the lite of day as the Doug Rippie black widow cars as retrofits.

later
Jeremy
