Ignition coil and bracket for TPI??
Hey guys,
Anybody here know of any seperate ignition coils with the dual connector being sold from any aftermarket brands with a coil bracket that can be mounted to the firewall? Ive tried Crane, and they only make those brackets for ford and not chevy.

Yes the MSD Blaster Coil. All you gotta do is unbolt the stock one then drill the rivets out of the stock bracket, then use the screws and nuts provided to put the stock bracket onto the new coil and bolt it back on. Pretty simple to do. You can get a MSD blaster coil for about 40 bucks at Pep boys or any speed shop.

I got the MSD blaster coil and couldn't figure out the cheesey bracket (looked weak too) so i drilled out the rivits on the stock coil bracket and reused it.....worked perfect for me.

Yep, I had my mechanic install a MSD blaster coil when I had my MSD distributor installed. He indicated there was some modification. You may want to think about some new spark plugs soon after with this new coil.

This guys not asking to reuse the stock bracket, he's asking if there are ones that will mount to the firewall.

I made mine fit in to the one made by accel(i think). It came from a ford coil that my friend gave me. I just tossed the coil itself.
