88 tpi gta 5.0 auto and i purchased a 87 tpi camaro 5.7 auto prom and computer...will this result in any problems? i know the computers are the same but the proms are different b/c of the 19lb injectors vs the 21lb...but other than that...think that will effect anything?

 

There are some other differences in the programming. You should be able to swap your '88 MEMCAL into the '87 ECM and install it in your '88 with no problems.

The calibration of the PROM for the 350 will be way off for your 305. You'll need to either replace the MEMCAL with one for a 305 or try your original.

 

i'll see if mine still works...hopefully it does, if not then i guess i'm screwed for now
