Wrong Wiring Harness?

Help me out, I bought a TPI wiring harness off Ebay, it was aupoosed to be off a 91 Firebird with a MAP setup, it also included the engine accessory harness. I have a couple of questions because I think the guys ripped me off. First of all, didn't the stop the 9th injector in 89? There is no MAP plug but the MAF plug is there, HUM? Will a harness from a MAF plug into the computer for a MAP? Not sure, I know they both have a 24, 32, and the MAP setup also has another plug from the Car. I just want to make sure that I'm right before I call the guys to bitch, since he stopped responding to my emails!

If you want, later tonight I can take my SD TPI harness out of the box, lay it out and take a supersize pic of it and email it to you.

Thats would be great, The accessory harness is correct but I don't think that the TPI harness is correct, the accessory harness has the modules for the air bags, but I've never seen a stock MAP system with the 9th injector

Yes, you got ripped off. They stopped putting the cold start injector on in 89. I bet if you look you will find an ESC and 2 MAF relays. Most people who sell these on ebay do not know anything about them. I bought what was supposed to be a SD harness and it turned out to be a MAF harness. Ebay is an iffy place. They have no real authority over what goes on. They can not make him give you your money back, and they can't even punish him. Just the 3 strikes and your out rule. In the agreement that you sign, you are basically saying if something happens, take it up with you local law enforcment agencies.

If I were you I would try to sell it for a profit or just re-pin it for a SD harness

I filed a claim with ebay today. The seller emailed my and said the he would refund $100. I'm happy with that, but he also stated that he does not see how the wiring harness was incorrect, I told him that I could mail him some pictures of a correct wiring harness to show him the difference. So all is good now.

I'd just re-pin the harness- especially if it was in a better than average condition. Re-pinning isn't that hard, especially when it is out of the car already.
