Anyone ever seen this one before?

From what i understand it's a supercharger kit that flows 500 cfm of compresssed air into you're throttle body. I guess it runs off your car battery.

found this on a corvette forum looking up heads, that might help to cool down the engine assuming you put in a bigger alternator, but not in the intake system

I actually messaged someone that bought a similar item on ebay. I asked if he saw and performance difference his almost exact words were "Yeah, I'd guess about 40 hp but my mom won't let me take the camry to the track"!!!!!!!!!

Now that is junk. But I used to do landscaping and we had a stihl backpack blower that was rated at 1500 cfm. If someone wanted to try this they should use this to see if gained any power.

its not worth it, it might be some what decent if it was a gasoline leaf blower But completely impractical. Yeah the only engines that might respond to something like this would be a very small 4 banger or a small v-twin. There have been pics on here of Corvettes and Camaros and every other backwoods idea to kill power. If you want to supercharge by a turbo or vortec.

Also keep in mind the amount of power needed to actually move air with a electric engine.

that thing CAN NOT compress air.. which is what a supercharger does..

500CFM?? if thats in the way of the intake.. the 48mm throttle body is 650cfm(correct me if im wrong)

so wouldnt that mean that it is robbing 150cfm from the engine?

to add 500cfm to the engine.. it would already need 650 to push what the engine needs in stock formation.. so to add 500cfm additionally.. would need to be 1150cfm...

am i wrong?

that thing is

I don't know which has a higher degree of stupidity:

1) Someone actually trying that and thinking it will work (i.e. 40 hp gain on a Camry).

2) Having a yellow $20 AdvanceAuto Parts air filter resting on your Corvette's water pump pulley.

3) Watching someone open the hood, and start the leafblower before they turn on that monstrous L03.
