Major Problem

Ok I have a problem and I can't take it anymore. I've got a 305 TPI with a 5 speed. My problem is that about half the time it'll run great.(today ran good enough in a street drag got em to squeal shiftin to 3rd) But then the other half of the time my service engine light will come on and it'll be real boggy and act like it has no power at all. I do have a oil leak problem up in the back of the block could this possible be the problem. This summer I'm planning on beefing her up to a 335 but want to make sure she'll run right before spend all the money on the kit.

U need to find out what the check engine lite is and proceed from there.

Go to the tech articles on this site and proceed from there.
