Adjustable fuel pressure regulator question
I have an afpr on the T/A and was wondering, will turning the screw in increase or descrease the fuel pressure? It looks to be in about all the way now.
Now I now the correct and long term answer is to get a pressure gauge. But I don't have one and I am looking for a short term answer.
Here is a pic of my regulator.

tightening it should increase pressure, loosening it shuld decrease it, i believe. way i figure it is that there is a spring inside right? well if the thing is tight it will cause there to be more resistance resulting in more pressure.

That looks like the TPIS regulator I used to run when my car was TPI. If you have it cranked all the way in, that gives you max pressure. You should not be running like that! Having more than 1/2 of the adjuster bolt length sticking out gave me 46 psi WOT (higher than the stock 43.5 psi). If your fuel pump is any good, where you have the regulator should give you over 50 psi! You really need to check on that.
If you have a AFPR it requires a fuel pressure gage for the best results. I have mine mounted just under the STB.
