new 88 gta rear end
I just baught a 88 GTA rear end for my 88 formula 350
I was wandering if it would help my car at all. No more one wheel wonder burn outs!
With a cold air intake and new rear end could it be possible to do a 14.2
I ran a 14.7

i might be 3.27 ratio cause i have a 88 gta but u will have to make sure the splines match up,as for what u will get out of them i don't know.if it is a 9 bolt ,just letting u know it will be hard to find parts if it will ever be rebuilt

You will see a gain if you don't have posi-traction. If the 1988 GTA was an automatic it will have the 3.27 gears. If it was a 305 with a manual trans then 3.45 gears. Does your 1988 Formula 350 have a ten bolt rear end? It could very well have the same nine bolt as the GTA. Allen

Im not sure what rear end my car has. I think it's a 9 bolt.
I found a site that tells if it is.
http://www.usol.com/~okfoz/88/88technical.htm
I know my car doesn't have posi. That site says a rear end without posi is a 10 bolt.
