Can someone confirm this is normal?

I just put an Autometer machanical oil pressure guage in the car b/c my stock one was reading 0 all the time. New gauge shows about 50psi at startup and then quickly settles to about 20psi.
My question is this: when stopping at stop signs, red lights etc, my pressure drops to almost zero for just a moment - then back to 20. Is this normal?

I second the pickup also, or low oil level, but since u are worried over the guage I will assume u have checked that? have you?

Simplest solution always wins - it was low oil level. Which is good because bearings not shot, but bad because I just filled it with oil 2 weeks ago - now to find leaks....stay tuned.....
