Hello,
i just want to know what type fuel injectors
do i ve ?

i want to replace all the fuel injectors
with the O-rings..
anyone ve a good site for me ?
on ebay i can't found it or are hard to find...

last year I've replaced my old silver grey Multecs with the injectors from fiveomotorsports .
I've used the 22lb injectors with the pink top.
Prices are very good (cheaper than anything I could find in Europe) and delivery is fast.

There are a number of Fuel Injectors on the market today the following injectors have been furnished on GM OEM systems: Lucas, Bosch, Rochestor and Multec. The prices vary considerably and performance differences are hard to detect. Basically they are sized for application. The 5.0L injector is sized to deliver approximately 4.05 milligrams of fuel with a 2.5 millisecond pulse or 18.13 lbs per hr at approximately 36 PSI. The 57L injector is sized to deliver approximately 4.83 milligrams of fuel with a 2.5 millisecond pulse or 23.92 lbs per hr at approximately 43.5 PSI. This information is typical for all manufacturers and flow rates will vary slightly even between identicle injectors.
Lucas is presently pushing their new High Output Disc Injector and is referred to as a High Performance Injector. This product was introduced in March of 9l. They are competitively priced at approx $60.00 each. A wide variety of flow rates are available to include 18lb/hr, 24lb/hr,28lb/hr, 37 lb/hr. These are all 16.2 Ohms and will work well with all GM TPI ECM's Rochestor injectors are presently furnished for the 90-94 GM 5.7L engine. It has an all metal nozzle and performs well. Priced at approx $75.00 each. Bosch injectors are also an excellent choice at approx $87.00 each.
While there are significant differences between the TPI and LT1 induction systems and computers, the injectors are essentially the same. Sequentialport injectors and batch fired injectors are sized in the same manner. We regret that we have not been able to make DYNO comparisons of these products. We will be glad to share whatever we hear on this subject with you when you call. FIS stocks all of the injectors referenced.

Original FI on your 1989 350 were either 22# AC P/n 17112940 or 17112005 which are no longer available. They have been replaced by the 22# AC p/n 17111961. These are also quite expensive at about $80/$100 each.

I just recently talked to Rich Jensen at Cruzin performance about which injectors are the best ones to send in to him for cleaning and flow matching. I have a set of the gray plastic multecs and also a set of the bosches, which are referred to as AC or Rochester injectors (they have RP on the housing). Both sets are 22lbs/hr. He said to definitely use the bosch ones, and to throw the multecs away, since they have the highest failure rate out of all of them. Those pink topped injectors look similar to the bosch ones, so they'd probably be a decent choice too. I've also heard really bad things about the accel injectors (usually yellow in color) from a lot of guys on this board, so I'd avoid those too.

Hello buddies !,
I need your help ASAP
I ve received the injectors !
from fiveomotorsport, but
where should i connect the clip see the pics below...
in the upper sleeve or the lower sleeve of the injector ?
if i use the lower sleeve, it prevents me to rotate the
clip and the injector into the fuel rail. TELL ME ASAP !


is it A OR B ?

I put the locking clips on the top ring. If you notice, the ring labled "b" does not go around the injector body completely. So it won't work anyways.

i really think you must have B...
i have put the new one en the old one
together, right on the fuel rails...
i can see, that you will have to put the
locking clips in the B. otherwise
if you use A, then the fuel injector will stand
a bit higher then the old one..
but B has not a fully sleeve,
its a half sleeve... so that your
injector won't rotate too..
well, i know, its all difficult men...
i will also contact the seller,
but i will still wait for your replys..

he is telling me, that the clips are not needed
on the new injectors, because it
will hold on, by the intake...
but i don't know...

but its preventing to getting loose from the
fuel rails while driving... there is a pressure on it...
but the seller told me to install without.

I have the SVO 24#'s on my car. I used the clips in the top ring.
Do you need them? Probably not, but I put them back anyways.

Hehe. Call me a worrywart, but I'd want to use the clips too just because I knew they were there originally. Never thought about not using them, but, in theory, I guess they really don't need to be there anyways. After all, when you bolt down the fuel rail, they shouldn't go anywhere anyways.

No need for a PM here. I've replaced the original injectors with the same ones and as far as I can remember, I've put the clips on the top ring.
I will take a closer look tomorrow morning.
You might want to try sending gta88flamered a PM and ask him personally since he said he replaced his injectors with the same ones

Without the clips your only problem might be down the road when you have to pull the fuel off and the injectors stick to the intake rather then the rall. Might be kinda a pain in the butt. That might be your only problem. Just slap on the clips you'll be alright you'll be able to tell if they don't seat right.
