How do I test my O2 and MAF sensors?

I'm having idling problems and rather than replace to see what happens, I'm curious if I can just measure them to see what their resistance should be.

Don't test resistance on your O2 sensor, it'll die a quick painful death. The voltage most Ohm-meters put on the circuit to test resistance is more than the O2 sensor can handle.

Best way to gauge functionality of the sensors is with an ALDL scantool.
