Quest for 13's

I have an 87 IROC that I would like to make into a respectable street car. It has the stock L98, 700R4 Trans, and 3.27 gears. Im curious to know from past experience what mods I should do first to get into the 13's.

Current mods:

Catback
Shift Kit
New Plugs, wires, cap, rotor
Good tires

(Also any idea on what I would run with just these mods?)

All feedback is appreciated.

you might be close you could be runing low to mid 14's right now mybe try some headers and a y-pipe with some tuning and mybe a cam you might be there but idk much about the l98 since i have a l03 but i think that might be a close ges you could try buying a g-tech they have them for $30 new on ebay then you would have a pretty good idea of what your running and how much more you will need to meet your goal

I noticed you have a shift kit, I am a little new to this and was wondering what a shift kit did and how hard it was to put on. I searched and didnt find anything.

It wasn't that hard to put in, just read the instructions. Chirps the tires going into second now.

Check out my car domain site. I am currently running a 13.35 at 100MPH with a 1.9 60ft. I am hoping to drop my 60 ft down to 1.7 or 1.8 and run a 13.1- 13.2
