adjustable fuel pressure regulator

On the stock regulator the star(thats what i call them) bolts had little studs in the top of the fastener. Was i the only one that got a punch tool and beath them down to nothing so i could remove the bolts? Just wondering if i needed todo this or is there a tool that has the hole in the middle built already.

Yes there is a tool and yes it's easier to mash down the pin than buying a set of security torue bits.
I didn't mash mine down with a punch tho, insted I used a regular torque bit in a ratchet screwdriver and gave it a easy tap with a hammer.

Well i have those punch tools that you tap nails after you nail thewm into finish wood. from other hobbies really, and i got the one that fit into the hole and just hammered it until the "tit" as i guess its called crumbled and i could safely enter a bit in the fasten and remove it. I kept fearing i'd strip the bolt like those star bits do so much.

I just need to get the engine ready for its first run pretty soon.

Thinking about the tapping down of the tamper pin, I'll bet that this also helps to get the screws out. The shock of hitting the screw is loosening the grip the threads have on the fuel block.

Sounds like a win-win solution to the anti-tamper pins.
