Adj. regulator prob.

I bought an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and tryed to install it. I got everything put back together and the car wont idle. It starts up fine. It runs fine when i give it the gas. My fuel pressure is at 44 psi.

what could be the problem?

Probably have a vacuum leak around the runners or plenum since you had to remove them. Check to make sure all the vac lines are connected and none split or cracked from handling them during the install.....

i found the vacuum that was unplugged. The brakes didnt work and i knew what it was then.

question 2- When the guage is plugged up and the car is running the fuel pressure on the guage is jumping from 30 to 50 really fast back and foward. Is it supposed to be doing that?

When the car is on it stays steady but when i start it up it jumps.

That's probab;y where the fuel pump loses power while the starter is cranking. If it's steady while running I wouldn't worry about it.

I put the bbk afpr on my car and my pressure jumps at idle but when I give it gas it steadys I think its normal. I have a problem though the adjusting screw sits right against my plenun and its very hard to adjust. I was wondering if yours does that to I am not very happy with it.

i had that problwm with my bbk also , i just took out the screw and basicly cut it in half and its much better now, not sure why its that long anyway, u should never have to adjust it the lenght of the screw, lol if u did chances are u would hit the fuel rail before that screw bottoms out lol
